River Tavy, Devon
The River Tavy is a fast-flowing river that runs through Dartmoor National Park, in the county of Devon, which is in the south western region of England. The river is a tributary of the River Tamar and feeds a canal which runs to Morwellham Quay at the town of Tavistock . The river is a popular location for watersports and fishing, and hosts a variety of fish including salmon, sea trout, trout, grayling and coarse. Tavy Bridge crosses the river at its mouth and carries the Tamar Valley railway line across the Tavy. The railway runs from Plymouth to Gunnislake.
