Golf Hotels in Britain

Whether we go to a golf hotel to play a few rounds as a break, find that 18 holes played with customers helps build relationships, or like to take to the course as a reward after a hard day’s graft while away on business, there is something particularly enjoyable about a stay in such places. The lounges of these establishments live with the memories of birdies past, the bedrooms the comfort of the pleasantly exhausted.
Fresh air, the challenge, those rare occasions when we really connect, and the certain knowledge that one day we will hit a hole-in-one keep some of us at the game. And a stay in one of these hotels it is a great way to get together with friends: no cooking chores – golf hotel restaurants know how to cater for the sporting appetite - and no designated driver resentment either. In the hotel bar later it is remarkable too how much better some shots seem – a good single malt adds 30 yards to my drives.
And what’s good with friends is great with clients too, though if you are playing with a customer, do remember the special scoring rules: air-shot, tee-shot, iron, three in the bunker and two putts is a par four.
