Salcombe Hill, Devon
Salcombe Hill is an area in Devon owned and maintained by the National Trust. Located just along the East Devon coast from
Sidmouth , Salcombe Hill is on the
Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. There is a car park there and an 'access for all' path from Salcombe Hill leads out to a viewpoint on the cliff top giving excellent views over nearby Sidmouth and all the way to
Portland Bill in
Dorset on a clear day. During the summer months the area is filled with wildflowers, such as fox gloves and buttercups, which in turn attract an variety of butterflies.
