Lundy Island is located in the
Bristol Channel off the coast of Devon, England. Lying between England and Wales, the island is a Site of Specific Scientific Interest (SSSI) owned by the National Trust, and managed by the Landmark Trust. The island is home to Marisco Castle, dating back to the 13th century, and Beacon Hill cemetery which contains headstones from the 5th and 6th century. The waters surrounding
Lundy are Marine Conservation Zone and are a great location for diving or seal watching. The island is home to a wide range of wildlife, including puffins, pygmy shrews and a breed of wild pony called the ‘Lundy Pony’.
