Borrowdale, Cumbria
national Park in Cumbria, England. The valley carries the River
Derwent into Derwent Water. The rugged valley with its dramatic
landscape is very popular with tourists and hill walkers and is the
most wooded valley in the Lake District. Brandelhow Park, which lies
within the valley, was the first piece of land within the Lake
District to be acquired by the National Trust. The area is well served
with B&Bs, hotels, restaurants, tea rooms, cafes and car parks for the
visitor. Despite this it still manages to retain all the ageless charm
and peace and quiet that typifies the Lake District.
