Carshalton
Carshalton is on the edge of the suburbs making it very handily placed for trips to and from London. Lush Surrey countryside is not far and there are plenty of amenities here to enjoy as well as a busy station. This is commuter land and the shops and restaurants and varied and interesting.
Cranleigh
Cranleigh is a small market town deep in the heart of the Surrey countryside. It has a wide main street with many shops and restaurants and is convenient for both Guildford and Dorking. This is a very affluent part of the world and you can expect both the wealthy and good country folk in the frequent pubs you will find.
Dorking
There are many pretty villages that surround the town. Those worth visiting ? Ockley, Wotton, Shere, Abinger and Brockham
When in Dorking drive up to the top Leith Hill and take in the view of the Weald. Breathtaking.- NADIA
Epsom
Epsom is the largest town in this part of Surrey with a theatre, large shopping centre and very busy mainline station. The high street has numerous restaurants, pubs and bars and still retains the roots of its market town past. Most famous for its racecourse, a little way out of the town high up on the beautiful North Downs and the worlds most prestigious horse race - The Derby. The race is held at the start of June each year and thousands descend on the area as they have been doing for over 200 years.
Hampton Court
If you are visiting the area try and get over to the kings arms hotel Just by the maze great old english building very friendly and good selection for lunch the real english pub - Teddy

Horley
Once a small sleepy surrey village Horley has been transformed over the last 40 years after the arrival of Londons second major airport - Gatwick. Now Horley caters for thousands of travellers each year as its close proximity to gatwick is perfect for those seeking airport related accommodation. Nick
Ockley
Ockley is as typically english as villages get. Surrounded by lovely The North Downs and super countryside the focal point is of course the village green. It is on the ancient Dorking to Bognor Regis road handy for Gatwick (20 minutes and Dorking (10 minutes) and there are many delightful villages close by.- Nick
Richmond upon Thames
If you visit Richmond Park use the car parks near the ham or kingston gates. there is superb woodland here, loads of deer in the rough and a fantastic fenced off nature woodland that is sheeer delight to walk through (think its called the alice plantation) - like being in a fairy tale wood ! The park around the robin hood gates and roehampton gates is the least interesting. Parking at pembroke lodge means you get a great view but is very very busy
