Chinley is a large village located in the Blackbrook Valley in the Derbyshire Peak District, home to two thousand people. The area has an interesting past with links into Agriculture, Quarrying and Textile Mills, it’s surrounded by dramatic and moody countryside that’s constantly enjoyed by walkers and cyclists. There are unforgettable places to enjoy nearby, the hardest choice perhaps is where to start. For Rod Danglers Errwood Reservoir covers 85 acres, or possibly a gentle stroll among Mother Natures beauty will tick the right boxes at the Pavilion Gardens Buxton, complete with Lakes, and even a Miniature Railway to try, time your visit right and enjoy one of the many Fairs that take place and maybe best of all the Brass Band Concerts performed on the Band Stand…. For lovers of all things historical there are the soul pleasing views from the ruins of Peveril Castle perched on a cliff top, or a trip to Speedwell Cavern is where a boat takes her visitor on an unforgettable voyage of discovery through caverns and underground rivers, if that’s not enough then Treak Cliff Cavern with evocative names of Fairyland, Dream Cove and even the Dome of St Paul’s are sure to tempt.
