Woodhall Spa is a delightful Edwardian Resort, in a beautiful location of pine woods in Lincolnshire. The National Cycle Network is close by, and journeys along the River Witham, known as the ‘Water Rail Way’. Woodhall Spar has two golf courses, bowling fishing and of course the pretty countryside for walking. One of the prettiest Cinema settings is ‘Kinema’ positioned in the woods and dates back to the 20’s, and now shows the latest films. The ’Cottage Museum’ has many interesting exhibits on show detailing the history of the Spa that brought wealth and fame to this pretty town. The church of St Peters is interesting, with a Rood Screen dedicating the soldiers of WW1. Of course a trip to the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre will whisk you back in time as the Airfield has an original control tower and even a NAAFI to spend some time in, why not ride in a Lancaster Bomber……….. Or share the thought provoking history of Tattershall Castle close by, a 15th Century red brick tower rising six floors, with bridges and moats to explore, and the stunning huge Gothic fireplaces, tapestries, Tudor toys, and Medieval costumes, the recipe for an enjoyable day is set.
