Review of Alford by Mrs Linda Coleman on June 24th, 2007
Visited Claythorpe Watermill and Wild fowl Gardens on Friday while on holiday in Lincolnshire. We were very disappointed and distressed at the condition of one of the owls and the red squirrel. The owl had no plummage around its neck and was pecking at the wing that was matted and dirty. There was dirty water in the cages, ( we got there at 14:30 and I doubt very much if the water was new that day. The red squirrel was pacing up and down very rapidly turning and turning again, backwards and forwards. The pond where we were supposed to be able to feed the fish was as green and murky as I have ever seen-impossible to see any fish at all. The seals had very little water to play in and looked lethargic. There was no one to be seen to talk to. We left immediately. Please can someone check this place out as we are very concerned for the welfare of the animals. Many thanks Linda Coleman

Brigg, Lincolnshire

Review of Brigg by Paul Hayes on March 22nd, 2007
I live in Leeds and decided to spend the weekend in the market town of Brigg. This is a delighful place with a nice market. The purpose of the weekend was also to do a tandem skydive at Target Skysports in the village of Hibaldstow a few miles from Brigg. We had a great day of skydiving and the views of the Lincolnshire Wolds were definately worth it. The village of Hibaldstow itself is also worth spending a few moments in and has a lovely traditional church its centre.

Gainsborough, Lincolnshire

Review of Gainsborough by ALAN on October 24th, 2008
UNBELIEVABLE Not quite sure what the place is doing with itself now that the big industry has gone. The town centre is a bit of a mess. Great Elizabethan hall in the midst of it all. It is just nothing on Newark

Lincoln, Lincolnshire

Review of Lincoln by David on November 19th, 2006
A wonderful stop for dinner! On passing through Lincoln with friends, we stooped for dinner on a week-day night. The food was succulent, with an especially good creme brulee as dessert. The wine list was one of the best I've encountered in any restaurant, including those of 5 star hotels (and the dessert wine was perfection itself!). The service was attentive without being either obtrusive or annoyingly familiar. Overall, an excellent pace to eat, with a superb ambience. Wonderful stuff!

Lincoln is a very nice place, that is homely, and welconming, there are many different shops and a lot to to, not forgettting the outstanding catherdral that is magnificent. Situated in lincoln is the college, and university, so you see many differents sorts of people around. The night life is lively and there are many bars to go to.

Saltfleet, Lincolnshire

Review of Saltfleet by barry jenkinson on November 6th, 2007
My Wife and I have had a holiday caravan at Saltfleet for three years, the location is excellent, very quiet even during holiday times and not far to some of the best beaches in the uk.It is essential however to have transport as the local bus service is almost none existant, and it's quite a walk to the next village where there is two small supermarkets and a take away.

Skegness, Lincolnshire

Review of Skegness by MR,A,JONES on July 15th, 2008
i find skegness ,a quite nice place to have a great weeks holiday,,!!!! only problem is not enough choice where we can bring our pet dog, even though we always clean up after him.

Review of Skegness by Hazel Lowe on June 19th, 2006
I must give absolute top marks to Skegness for the superb quality of the beach area that you have set aside for our dogs. I was there about 2 weeks ago with four dogs and my family and the dogs had the most fantastic time on the beach, we went for a long distance and must give many thanks for the cleanliness of the beach and outstanding beauty of the area you allocate for the dogs. I have been to some resorts and have vowed never to return as the areas for the dogs were so bad (syringes on the beach) and mud that I would not subject my dogs to them. Skegness has really improved all ways over the years and you can tell much has been spent on the resort. I thank you on behalf of my dogs, as they really love the sea and beaches and are just like children when they arrive. Thank you so very much for thinking of us dog owners as well as other visitors. Other resorts can only follow you, and never surpass you. Best wishes Hazel CHESTERFIELD DERBYSHIRE

Sleaford, Lincolnshire

Review of Sleaford by Pat on October 11th, 2010
Have recently visited Sleaford twice for meetings - once to New Life Centre where we were treated like royalty - all the staff were polite and couldn't do enough to help. Venue was lovely. The second time to the Source on the main street - not so lucky there - in my opinion the man in charge was off hand and a bit rude, we were not given the room we booked but were squashed into a room which was really to small and were made to feel like nuisances when we asked for anything.

Review of Sleaford by Janet Bourne on March 8th, 2009
A new, excellent trader is now at Sleaford market trading as 'Lingerie 4 All'. I was amazed at the quality of stock especially when considering the low prices. This stall has a wide range of lingerie to suit all tastes and is well worth a visit. They also carry some costume/fashion jewellery. Apparently this trader will be at Sleaford Market every Friday.

Sutton-on-Sea, Lincolnshire

Review of Sutton-on-Sea by Jill on January 3rd, 2009
What a delightful place. I thought that seaside places like this had disappeared for ever. No amusement arcade or fairground attractions. Just miles of superb sand and a great promenade with a back-drop of old-fashioned beach huts. You can walk along the promenade to Mablethorpe or Sandilands and beyond. Fantastic. Anyone who yearns for old-fasioned seaside places, then this is the place for you. Also, great for sea-fishing, if that is your thing, further along towards Huttoft beach.

West Ashby, Lincolnshire

Review of West Ashby by Anita Cook on December 8th, 2011
I visited the pub for a meal as soon as I heard it was re-opening and I definitely was not disappointed! I was so pleased to see that it was busy as the boys have both worked so hard at creating a lovely, warm and relaxing atmosphere for their customers. Everyone in the group thoroughly enjoyed their 3 course meals and the drinks on offer were diverse enough to cater for everyone. There was a really happy environment and the service was brilliant. We all enjoyed the evening very much and are so happy to have a decent place to eat again! Would definitely recommend to friends for a friendly drink or a tasty meal!

Winteringham, Lincolnshire

Review of Winteringham by Keith Piper on May 11th, 2010
I have just heard about your Winteringham Fields restaurant and looked up the web page. I am amazed to find that there is no mention of a vegetarian dish anywhere on the menu, yet I thought the chef was supposed to be well regarded - not so by me and the many other vegetarians in the country. All I can say is,to improve your image show some interesting vegetarian options (AND NO FISH).
