Skegness is a coastal town in Lincolnshire with 10 miles of golden sandy beaches, and 34 acres of brightly coloured gardens. The promenade is a good place to start whether on foot or in one of the horse dawn carriages, the invigorating sea is ideal for swimming or one of the many water sports or perhaps have a donkey ride along the sands. The fun doesn’t stop once the sun goes down as the amazing site of the brightly coloured illuminations will dazzle, these fantastic light shows are bursting with colour… With miles of paths to enjoy and explore, whether you choose sand dunes and the Coast or the Salt Marsh and Nature Reserve you won’t be disappointed. For night owls there is dancing from Disco, Sequence or the Music Hall and Embassy Theatre for great shows. For animal lovers the Seal Sanctuary is home to all types of fish, tropical butterflies, penguins and of course Seals, or there is Hardy’s Animal Farm, with a variety of animals why not take a trip in one of the carts pulled by the Shire Horses. Or to see how it was done in times gone by there is the Church Farm Museum, with room settings from the 1900’s, time it right and the Black Smith will be at work in the Forge. With a visit to the ‘Lifeboat’ Station that’s been in operation for 175 years, or even Gunby Hall a 1700’s red brick house with clocks galore, or how about Batemens Brewery Visitors centre for thirsty visitors what better place to be. Perhaps ‘Fantasy Island‘ try out the roller coaster, water rides, shops, or what about a trip to Butlins for the day with Water Flumes, funfair, Go Karts, live entertainment and even a puppet show…Skegness really has got it all.
