Carlton Le Moorland
Carlton Le Moorland is a small village surrounded by pretty countryside in Lincolnshire, artists reach for your paints as St Mary The Virgin church dates from the 12th Century and has many treasures inside. Close by is Newark Air Museum where the exploration and enjoyment of 68 aircraft explains the intriguing history from Jet Fighters, helicopters and bombers with many other exhibits on display makes for a fascinating visit. Or perhaps a glimpse into days gone by, Millgate Museum has faithfully recreated shops, streets, and delightful rooms in period detail, set on the banks of the River Trent which is perfect for watching the boats go by. Or be prepared to be amazed with the world of dolls houses, toys, model railways and much more , Vina Cooke Museum has a wealth of exhibits on show which ranges from the 18th Century to present day, all set out and presented in a 17th Century Dower House, what else could be asked for, perhaps the thrill of combat and paint balling is more for you, then ’Go Ballistick’ in 40 acres of enchanting woodland. Or there is always the Palace Theatre nearby where Basil Brush, Drama or even stand up comedy takes centre stage.

Top marks to Skegness for the superb quality of the beach area that they have set aside for dogs.
