beautiful period building with wonderful architecture both inside and out. Situated adjacent to the railway station on the outskirts of the county town of Northallerton.Five min walk to town Formerly known as the Horse and Jockey in the 1700's it was a busy place next to the Race course and Grandstand. Renamed in 1800 The Railway Hotel and Posting House it was a main stop off point for Posting Carriages, then having stables to house horses and accommodation for travellers. In 1901 it was transformed into what you see today and named The Station Hotel.
