Racecourses in Exeter
It is the highest racecourse in the land at 850 feet, the second longest at 2 miles and has been described as not only one of the loveliest courses, but one of the fairest tracks in the country. Horse Racing was first recorded here 350 years ago in the reign of Charles II and since then many a great National Hunt champion has started their career at Exeter - such as Best Mate and Desert Orchid.
