A warm welcome awaits you at the Rockhaven which is in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park between Robin Hoods Bay and Scarborough with easy access to the city of York.Rockhaven is a Victorian Country House that is situated in two acres of grounds with fields beyond and sea views, we have a summer house for guests to use and soak up this peaceful location. This is especially nice if you have been walking the Cleveland Way (10 minutes away) or have been cycling along the disused railway or the more strenuous paths in Dalby Forest which is close by. (Cycle hire is available + lockable bike storage). There are three delightful en-suite rooms all are tastefully furnished with co-ordinating soft furnishings, starched bed linen, comfortable beds and pure Egyptian cotton towels. There is a comfortable lounge / diner for guests and its the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine and a good book (library available) by the roaring log fire in winter. Whitby is 14 miles away which is famous for its Abbey and Parish Church and Captain Cooks Memorial Museum which is on the Jurrasic coast and is particularly exciting to those with an interest in Geology, Fossils, Jet or Ammonite scouting. We do not have credit card payment facilities available on the premises (So please note any other payment methods are accepted). Please Note: We are a Non-smoking accommodation.
