Whether summer or winter the panoramic view of Richmond with its castle on the skyline sets the scene of a picture of Merry England and the traditions of many past generations.
Richmond town is smothered in history, being in the heart of Swaledale, with Wensleydale, Teesdale and the North Yorks Moors only a short drive away. Richmond has itself spectacular views and offers a variety of things to do - ranging from walks, to visiting castles or museums. The Holly Hill Inn is well situated and is on the road to Leyburn, another Market town with its own museums and coffee shops.
