A small privately owned and managed country house hotel with several acres of garden.Situated in the pretty village of St Bees Fleatham is a large Victorian house overlooking St Bees Head and accross the Solway.
All rooms are well appointed and are en-suite,there is a large lounge for relaxing and we offer a high standard of service and individual attention. Both couples and lone travellers feel at home here, complimentary tea & homemade cake is served on arrival.
A must for breakfast is the famous Waberthwaite Cumberland
sausage or for fish lovers our local smoked kippers, we use as much local produce as possible on our menu.
St Bees is the start of Wainrights coast to coast walk
and is only 30 mins drive from the attractions of the lake district it is also the ideal base for discovering the undiscovered parts of the lakes. The beach is 10 mins walk and the village has several pubs offering good food
and ales. Whitehaven is a small Georgian town with a fine harbour and connections with John Paul Jones the founder of the American Navy .(10mins drive ) For garden lovers a 20min drive takes you to Muncaster Castle known for its
Rhodedendrons andthe World Owl Centre. Ennerdale and Wasdale lakes are also nearby known for the deepest lake, highest mountain and biggest liar.
