8th C Inn, located in remote and beautiful Arkengarthdale. Ideally located for walking, cycling or touring the North Yorkshire dales. Stripped pine furnishes the bar and dining rooms with an open fire in the bar. Our mirror menu changes daily to reflect the local seasonal produce available. Relax in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Local cask ales from Theakstons and Black Sheep breweries.

CB salad (black pudding, smoked bacon, feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, mixed leaves), Breast of woodpigeon, mushroom duxelle & arabica sauce, Butternut squash & parmesan risotto, Slow roast belly of pork, wild mushrooms, mashed potatoes & cider jus, Pan-fried salmon with crab, crushed potatoes, glazed vegetables & beurre blanc, Sticky toffee pudding, caramel sauce, Chocolate & walnut brownie with white chocolate ice cream.

We offer 19 en-suite bedrooms with spectacular views. All rooms have been individually designed and decorated and are en-suite, have colour TV, telephone, Wi-Fi, tea & coffee making facilities.

Our terrace room opened in 2005 can seat up to 70 people for weddings, dinner or conferences and has tables and chairs made by Robert Thompson "the mouse man" of Kilburn's craftsmen and has lovely views of Scar house and Arkengarthdale.
