Restaurants in Glasgow
This is a new location for Tom Battersby's overflowing restaurant, and it's a cosy, welcoming place in the West End still convenient for the City. The bright lower-ground dining room is a nice combination of austere pew seating and comfortable chocolate browns, duck egg blues, and Arts and Crafts decor. It may be the friendliest restaurant you ever experience. The menu is modern Scottish and extremely well-prepared, with dishes like starter of roast beef salad nicoise, main course of half rack of lamb with onion and potato gratin, and dessert of plum and almond tart with honeyed mascarpone. The flavours are vivid and the plates beautifully presented. The wine list hovers at the affordable end of the spectrum.
