No, not the kind you spread on your crumpets, dearie. The kind of jam at the Jam House is what happens when some hot musicians get together and play their souls out. The music is live every night here: jazz, blues, boogie, rhythm 'n' blues, and in-house DJ providing dance music. The place is spread over three airy floors, with the open-plan, open-kitchen restaurant at the top (that means you get to work your way through the two downstairs bars before you even sit down). The crowd is very mixed and very fun. What's cooking? International cooking that's just as inventive as the music onstage. Bloody Mary gazpacho with rice crackers and avocado sorbet to start, or a classic Caesar salad, then Japanese breaded salmon fillet with harissa roast potatoes and kai lan for a main course, or warm salad of lamb, dandelion, cucumber and minted couscous. Go ahead and have one of the killer puds. You can always dance it off later.
