Mill Farm Holiday Cottages and camp site is in the village of Barlow the edge of the Peak District in north Derbyshire. The site, on the B6051, is in 50 acres of conservation pastures, lakes and woodland teeming with fish, birds and wildlife. The village lies four miles from Chesterfield and around ten miles from the centre of Sheffield. Minimum stay in the cottages is three nights but camp site visitors in caravans or tents may stay for a single night.
Dogs are welcome and stabling for your horse may be possible by prior arrangement.
A short walk from the cottages, the complex includes one of the largest fisheries in the north of England offering anglers a choice of fly fishing or coarse angling in separate lakes. For the duration of their stay, cottage holiday makers can enjoy free fishing in any of the eight lakes in the valley.
The cottages are self-catering but for those who prefer to eat out, the snack bar serves reasonably priced meals and snacks throughout the day during spring and summer. Shorter hours apply in winter. All our cottages are fully equipped to a very high standard with all the usual necessities such as bed linen, colour television, video, cutlery etc. Cots, folding beds and high chairs are available on request. (Sorry, cot linen is not provided). The farm cottages are heated by gas.
Four poster beds are installed in Wood View and the Coach House.
