Since initially opening in March 2012, this weird and wonderful museum has become one of the must-see attractions in this tourist town. The MAD Museum (Mechanical Art & Design) showcases Kinetic Art, Automata and Steampunk.

It can be found in the heart of one of England's finest and most visited towns; Stratford upon Avon. The MAD Museum houses an exciting assortment of exhibits which are superbly engaging for all ages. The attraction offers an extravaganza of visual entertainment with lots of rolling balls and plenty of clanking and rattling thrown in for good measure! Think Heath Robinson mixed with a Scrapheap Challenge and a hotchpotch of futurist mechanisms and then stir it all up with mind blowing creativity and ingenuity. The museum is proud to feature items from artists across the globe and the quality of the exhibits cannot be underestimated.

This is a wonderful place to experience and interact with an extraordinary assortment of both modern and old fashioned, yet highly innovative, machines! The MAD Museum is the only permanent museum of its kind in England, there is nothing quite like it, make sure you drop by!

Occasionally the museum has to shut for maintenance reasons, please check their website before visiting.
