The Falstaff’s Experience: The Museum of the Dark History of Stratford

The Falstaff's Experience is one of Stratford's most exciting and unusual tourist attractions, offering an educational yet fun journey through time, making it a unique experience on Stratford's "Things to Do" List.

A short stroll along the ancient cobbled courtyard, the oldest surviving in Stratford that dates back to Shakespeare’s time, you will encounter the Museum set in the 16th century Shrieve's House Hall. In this waxwork’s museum, you will learn of some remarkable tales relating to the history of Stratford and England, re-lived through the experiences of the previous residents of the building. Along with a recreation of a plague cottage, there are the civil soldiers still fighting; the Three Tunns tavern which stood here in the 16th century run by William Roger’s the real-life inspiration for Shakespeare’s Falstaff character and who was the uncle of Shakespeare’s godson.

It is an attraction for young and old alike: school groups and corporate parties are welcome.

In the evenings at 6pm the nightly Ghost Tours of this genuinely haunted museum begin. At the weekends there are ghost hunts and themed parties.

We can guarantee you will never forget your visit!
