spent one night there on business. Location ok, about 15 mins walk from centre of town. Restaurant was closed as chef was on leave, only food available was in leisure club which was rather basic and limited in menu. Room clean but tired. Had a safe which did not work.Could do with net curtains on windows as they overlook street and were large and low!
Conspicuous lack of staff most of time, and this was in august; high season! breakfast was ok. So, at best I call it mediocre, based on my visit in august 08

Good Points: Food in restaurant was lovely with a nice choice
Bad Points: Dirty, old, needing a re-furb desperately - did look like this was happening!
General Review: Hotel looks tired and rooms especially do! Soft furnishings in rooms are dirty and old fashioned. Bathroom facilities are poor and fans very noisy. Staff were limited and tried to be helpful - to the best of their ability.
