Good Points: Location, staff fairly friendly, room on ground floor (except it was near the dustbins at the rear of the hotel) Bad Points: cracked handbasin in en-suite, bath room shabby as a whole, rust under basin, floor tatty and not particularly clean in the corners, bath worn out. Rear room near dustbins. No view. General review: We would not have chosen this hotel had we known about the bathroom, I daresay we could have changed rooms but decided not to use the basin but use the bath instead as we did not want the hastle of changing rooms for one night.

Good Points: Friendly, helpful staff. Relaxed atmosphere; excellently kept pint of Abbotts ale.Breakfast items all hot and tasty.Restaurant/bar staff young and helpful. The maids were all jolly ladies. Bad Points: TV a bit small. I was confined to bed one day through illness and the TV was good company, so might have helped if was slightly bigger. Some bottled water and a fridge/minibar may be a good addition in the future also. General review: A nice relaxing place to stay as a base to explore Norfolk. The local folk seem to actually like tourists.

Good Points: Old building with character comfortable room -all facilities worked well delicious breakfast courteous and helpful staff - good local knowkedge Bad Points: No complaints General Review: A pleasant experience throughout. First visit to Swaffham and the hotel staff made us very welcome and altogether a friendly atmosphere. There was nothing I would have wanted to know before booking - as a stop over location this was just fine.
