On July 8th myself, sister, mother & 2 cousins travelled to Roker from Birmingham. We couldn't have chosen a better guesthouse. Victoria (landlady/comedienne) was on top form all night with her jokes and banter, we never stopped laughing all night and we would like to thank Victoria and her husband for their hospitality, we all sat outside until the early hours overlooking the sea drinking wine & having nibbles. Our rooms were warm and although old, they were perfect for the nights sleep ahead. Upon waking the smell of a good old fashioned cooked English breakfast was just what we needed to start our day. (Although through them I gained 3lb in weight and when I go to weight watchers will name & shame them) Even though our visit was unfortunately to attend a funeral, i believe that with the welcome we received we were able to handle the day a lot better. Once again, on behalf on my family I would like to thank Victoria & Darren for their warm welcome, their fantastic sense of humour and the use of their home.
