What can we say? We had a lovely evening in this charming ristorante...having just got back from our holiday in the south of italy we felt as if we were back on holiday again! The atmosphere was good, with friendly knowledgable staff helping us choose from the menu with lots of specials on offer too...fresh from the fish market that morning i had cozze marinara to start..a huge bowl of mussels in a really tasty tomato based sauce, with the boyf having the home made pate which was eqaully tasty. For mains we had orrechiete alla barese-a pasta dish with the sauce lovingly cooked for over 6 hours according to mama's own recipe and the boyf went for fillet steak with pepper sauce and all the trimmings. It was cooked to perfection and we were both stuffed so couldn't squeeze in the tiramisu which looked delish! All in all a lovely place with a relaxed atmosphere with lots of regulars which is always a good sign...price wise you could pop in early for their pre theatre menu, quick pizza or pasta, or for a special occasion go for the full monty...something for everyone on the menu with plenty of veggie options for my mum when i take her there next time...sure to be back and definetly much cheaper than a trip to italy but still leave feeling all italiano!
