What a magnificent restaurant. The cuttlefish rissoles were divine and I have never had belly pork cooked so perfectly and so well balanced with the beetroot. The portions were bang on and it takes a skilful chef to present simply but perfectly cooked vegetables. The staff were charming and i was impressed by the waitress tactfully handling an ignorant customer who had first ordered squid (which was not on the menu)and he then proceeded to lambast the young waitress when his daughters pizza was not pre sliced. She stood her ground and suggested that pizza express would be a more suitable venue for him and his family. Well Done! We will certainly be back and we will tell our friends. Also the prices are very reasonable for such high class cooking.

From previous experience good food, but you may not want to book for a special event as they let us down, with a mix up over the booking. Its really very embarrising particularly when you have visitors.

There were 9 of us in my retirement party and we had starters, mostly steaks and puddings. Everything cooked to perfection. The staff were very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was great. This is more pricey than most restaurants in Dorchester but you get what you pay for and I could not fault The Caverna. Delicious, delicious, what more can I say!

La Carerna is a very lovely little resturant, the food was great, but the service is something else. We received a very large service charge, which we thought was unexceptable for what was given. our drinks took a while to arrive, the waiting staff seemed little interested with our table, we recieved rude looks and smirky answers, also once the plates where taken away, the staff didn't ask to take them, simply taking them. i would possibly concidering going back because of the food, nothing else.

This resturante is fantastic. It really is a diamond. As soon as I walked in, it felt like we were in Italy. The food was delightful in exactly the right portions. e.g. The starters didn't fill you up. The service was brilliant. Also the chef being Sicilian made all the difference. Compliments to the chef!!! This was an absolute treat, Incredible. We certainly will come back again. Truly Delightful

The meal was wonderful, the place charming and the staff friendly and helpful. I especially recommend the Halibut with Crab sauce - what a treat!
