Good Points: Reasonably priced Bad Points: The breakfast was quite poor as, the milk was warm and there was not a very fresh selection General review: Decent but after staying in a similar priced hotel I found it not to favour well

Good Points: Room was clean, staff were fine, Breakfast was basic but good. Bad Points: Dated decor, room was absolutely tiny and the bathroom was 2 and a half floors down from the room. There was no sink in the toilet, the sink was 2 and a half floors up in the room so everyone is spreading germs that everyone else is picking up. General review: Ok, very basic but adequate. Would definately not pay full price for that room.

Good Points: The hotel was so near to Earls Court where we were exhibitors. The entrance was well lit and we had no problem finding the hotel. Bad Points: The hotel did look a bit tired. Worn carpets on the stairs, old decor etc. The biggest problem was the breakfast room where there were nowhere near enough tables and chairs. many people had to queue before being able to eat breakfast. The tables were not cleared very quickly so when we eventually sat down, we had 2 lots of peoples breakfast things waiting. General review: I thought it was value for money and a superb location.

Good Points: The Lord Jim is in a nice street handy to station and restaurants etc. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel is clean and tidy. Bad Points: The rooms were very small but for the price we paid, we didn't mind. It would have been better if the triple had 3 single beds rather than a double and single. General review: We found that the Lord Jim was very good value for money especially compared to other hotels we looked at online and their corresponding reviews. The rooms are small but we were not in them for long so we didn't mind too much. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and the staff friendly. There were 6 in our family travelling together so we appreciated having good budget accommodation.

The location was convenient. View from room window is of quiet tree-lined neighbourhood(not bad!). Hotel has a tiny lift to most floors, good for travelers with heavy luggage. But, room and toilet is too small. The room itself seemed ok at first look with new wallpaper & new bathroom fittings. But the cleaniness was horrible. The toilet walls and door are smeared with toothpaste???, fingersmudges and other ??? stuffs. The shower cubical's floor and the wash basin's slimy. The bed-linen was moldy. The phone and remote control were sticky with orange juice or sth. Cleaniness is the most important factor when choosing a hotel. I hope they can improve as their other factors are not too bad.
