Carvery for Sunday lunch was superb. Pork, beef and gammon and the veg was cooked just right, not boiled into oblivion as is so often the case with carvery's. We sat in the upstairs section as a table of 11 which is a really attractive room and would be great for a private event. What really makes this pub though is the beaming smiles on the faces of the staff, their attentiveness and how friendly they were. You could hear them engaging in conversation with all the diners, especially the older ones, and it creates a really warm atmosphere. The only downside was the bitters on offer... John Smiths or Bass, a minor blemish.
