Have been here several times all ways been good. Today organised a lunch for 48 retired firemen and their wives. Well things could not have gone better. The staff friendly and attentive. Food sent out table by table. All hot and plenty of it. The pie that I had was full of meat just like home. Sweets young ladies came round asking if we want either custard or ice cream. Rhubarb crumble and custard to die for. It was not take it of leave it. I can highly reccommend it, we are certainly coming back.

Visited this restaurant Last November and said that we will return. This we did as a family (9) for sunday lunch for my wife's birthday. Not everyone had a starter, but the ham hock pate' was great. 9 roast dinners all round loads of meat and freshly cooked veg (better than those carvery's) Not everyone had a sweet as they were full up. Copious supply of coffee. We arrived at 3pm was not rushed away and left at about 730pm. Restaurant was full all the time we were there with people still coming in when we were leaving. Staff were very helpful. We will again return.

We were a party of 6.3 had the fish and chips, really good batter. 2 had steak my grand son said it was the best he had had, done just as he likes it. I had the pie and mash with of course liquer, well it brought back memories of my childhood in the East End. We will be back this time on a Sunday the lunch is suppose to be real good. Decor very pleasant and very good service.

Well worth a visit. It has not long been refurbished and looks very fresh and inviting. We ate in the restuarant but there is also bar food on offer which the menu on that looks worth a try next time. Value for money, plenty of it and tasted great. My two young children had roast dinner all fresh vegetable and just the right portion. The deserts are to die for I highly recommend the Summer fruit pudding. Stff very friendly could not do enough for you. Defiantly going again.
