Royal Oak, Tibshelf, Derbyshire. Recommended to us (for food) by the Gladstone Arms at Pilsley but we didn't expect it to be THAT good, quite unbelievable and exceptional value. Sunday lunch was a choice of 4 roasts, pie or vegetarian option, 5 veg, mash and roasties, Yorkshire, stuffing and gravy, extra if u needed it. Food was hot, properly cooked, well-presented, plentiful and...absolutely delicious. A main course for just under a fiver and a good choice of equally tempting desserts for just £1 extra. What a pleasant change not to be ripped off or disappointed, THE best Sunday meal we've had in a very long time. Friendly staff and pleasant decor too. Highly recommended; it won't be our last visit....
