Due to circumstances beyond my control I found my self down to my last drop of electricirty in my mobility scooter, at a speed of just half a mile an hour I got to the Manor House Hotel, What a helpfull reception I recieved as I rested the staff prepared my meal and allowed me to leave my run out scooter to stay until I could get it removed also Pietro "who I believe is the owner" called a taxi for me and I was able to get home , so from a serious situation to a safe and helpfull enviouroment I will be eternally gratefull, You see I have a lung disease and cannot walk far without collapsing Thankyou Pietro sorry if I spelt your name wrong ..

We held my daughter wedding here and cannot praise the staff and the hotel enough. The whole day was handled with the utmost professionalism and every member of staff made family and guests feel welcome and comfortable. The food was exceptional and the chalet rooms were ideal. Highly recommended for a perfect wedding day.

General review: It would be beneficial to let the customer know that the cottage/chalet has a kitchen, as they can stock up on essentials on route if need be and then they could take advantage of the facilities available, especially if they should have young children!

Good Points: Very big clean room with crisp white bedding.Breakfast was well cooked and served by friendly staff. Bad Points: No ventilation in bedroom.Room was warm but a little stuffy.A proper bath mat would have been more absorbent that the paper one in the bathroom.A larger well lit mirror would have been useful. General review: Chalet rooms were clean, quiet and modern with a nice outlook.Shower was hot and powerful. The breakfast was simple but well cooked and plentiful.

We had our Wedding at The Manor House and everyone said that it was better than my cousins wedding last year at another wedding venue in Cardiff that cost much more. Pietro and the Staff were brilliant from start to finish, he even helped out the best man with some helpful tips because he had never been a best man before! All the family staying in the hotel were full of praise for the rooms and the service. We'll definitely be going back when we have our first baby - for the Christening! We had a day to remember.

Good Points: It was clean, tidy and comfortable. General review: The price was increased as it was a Rugby International weekend in Cardiff, which whilst in line with all other hotels in the area for that weekend, was not necessarily a true reflection of the quality of the hotel. The hotel was clean, tidy and well presented. The staff were friendly and even though they were busy with a wedding the weekend we stayed, nothing seemed to be too much trouble!

I must recommend this hotel as a great Wedding venue. We had our reception there in the summer of 2005, and everything was amazing. The staff are very friendly and helped all our guests find their way about and serving them. The manager is very accomodating, and has a wealth of experience - and really does care about your special day. The prices were very reasonable too, especially compared to other hotels in the Cardiff / Penarth area. Brilliant - 9/10 :-)

Have been going to the manor House for many years now and it is the best in the area for food and hospitality. We were married there too. The food is exceptional and the service always friendly and efficient, Julie being excellent. Pietro and Frank are wonderful entertainment with nothing being too much trouble. Would recommend to anyone of any age (as they are great with kids too!) Rooms are comfortable and affordable.

My husband and I choose the Manor House for our wedding as we liked the setting and the hotel when we first went to visit it. With hind sight though we would not have booked the hotel had we known the level of service that we would have on the day. The were several things that we felt were not exceptable but our complaints were dismissed but with it being our wedding day we didn't want to make to much of a fuss. We then complained later on in the week and we were met with aminosity and then to make matters worse we were over charged. The so called bridal suite we had been given was no different to any of the other chalets that they have except that it had a four poster bed. There weren't even any curtains on the windows which given it was the middle of summer caused the light to flood in very early in the morning. The breakfast in morning wasn't much better it was no bigger than a childs portion. Overall I would not not be visiting tis hotel again and I would urge anyone to think very carefully before they did so.
