My daughter and I spent a very nice night at The Drummond Inn. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished. The beds were clean and comfortable. Unfortunately none of the windows would open so it was a bit hot. This is an old property and it quaintness definitely outweighs some of the tiredness of the décor you can expect from old properties. The surroundings are glorious. A visit to the ducks in the river at the bottom of the garden is a must. Very entertaining. We had dinner in the evening, but it was a bit disappointing. I think we made the wrong choice because everyone else’s dinner looked lovely. I mentioned my disappointment to the staff and they did try to make amend, but by that time I didn’t really feel like eating any more. They did reflect this by taking something off the bill. I would stay again but make different menu choices. (and take a fan!)

We just dropped in, en passant and were delighted with everything we found. Our warm and caring reception by the managing partner, the food, the wine; all were perfect. When we received the bill we were even more pleasantly surprised as it comprised a special offer we hadn't even been aware of. We will certainly visit again. Shery and David
