I ate lunch at the Crown of Crucis while visiting the village of Ampney Crucis. My family had lived there for over 250 years, and I was looking forward to spending a pleasant day sightseeing and having a meal. While the food was excellent at the Crown of Crucis, I was treated very rudely - more "bloody American" attitude, particularly when I went to get a drink from the bar where I was completely ignored until it was impossible to not serve me. I felt so crushed, and excluded that I left immediately after the meal. the treatment I received there negatively coloured my entire visit to Britain. I would never enter its doors again.
