I paid to use the driving range and was handed a bucket of grubby golf balls and a battered old driver. When I hit a few balls I got the feeling something was wrong with the driver, I took a close look and noticed the head of the club was bent and in the first stages of breaking. I took the club back to the golf shop and told the elderly man who gave it to me that it was broken. He then lost control of himself and launched into a rant claiming I had broken it, he called me a liar and many other expletive foul-mouthed names. I decided to leave the shop as the old man was so animated I feared he would collapse any second, such was level of his anger and name calling, before doing so I assured this old foul-mouthed man that I was no liar, or indeed any of the other foul names aimed at me. Avoid this place at all costs, unless you enjoy being sworn at and called a liar by angry old men

i have played this course a few times now and it is always a pleasant experience, mainly because of how acturet the hole markings are! how often do we go to par 3 courses and line up at the first tee that has a 175 y stroke index only to find you need to be gentle with your sw or you will overshoot the green! you will need give yourself 2 extra clubs on the uphill second hole as it is very misleading and you will come up short if u hold back, from the start it is uphill all the way but you can have a nice rest on the seventh tee on your way back and take in the views, this is a lovely little family course or a wonderful peacefull walk for iron practice on your own, all in all a nice course but the £8 green fee is a bit much as im sure alot of the local's like myself would happily pay £5 three or four times a week or a £20 week pass and maybe then have a few pound to treat ourself in the very well equipped pro shop!
