Carneddau, North Wales

The Carneddau are mountains located in Snowdonia and contains six of
the highest peaks in Wales, as well as the largest area of high ground
in Wales. The group of mountains includes Carnedd Llywelyn which, at
1064 meters tall, is the second highest peak in Wales after Snowdon.
Situated in the valleys are several lakes including and Llyn Cowlyd
and Llyn Eigiau, as well as the Aber Falls waterfalls. To the east of
the Carneddau mountains lays the Conway valley, with the Ogwen valley
to the west and south and the coast to the north.
