River Windrush
The River Windrush is located in the Cotswolds region and flows through the English counties of Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. The river is a tributary of the the River Thames and is home to a variety of fish including greyling, trout, perch and roach which makes it a popular location for fishing. The areas around the River Windrush are also popular with walkers and hikers. Originating in the Gloucestershire hills, the river joins the Thames at Northmoor Lock. The River Windrush and its surrounding villages have been subject to flooding in the past, with particularly heavy floods in 2007.
