Selborne Hill, Hampshire

Selborne Hill is a National Trust property situated near Selborne , which is between Alton and Bordon in Hampshire, England. Selborne Hill and Common are a valuable example of a surviving ancient woodland and uncultivated woodland pasture. The property is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and is within the East Hampshire Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Mixed woodlands of oak, beech, ash and hawthorn grow on the clay plateau that crowns Selborne Hill. Herbs and plants such as yellow archangel, wood spurge, wood sorrel and enchanter’s nightshade have been found in the woodlands and pastures there.
