for High Heel-a-thon as your favourite British event.

The High Heel-a-thon comprises a one mile saunter in which participants must start and finish wearing their high heels.

High Heel-a-thon participants will set off from the Gateway complex on East Street, Leeds and follow a 1.2 mile route around the city, taking in many of Leeds' best known landmarks such as the Corn Exchange, the river Aire and Brewery Wharf.

All funds raised will go towards The Haven and Sue Ryder. The Haven is a national charity with a centre in Yorkshire which provides a completely free programme of complementary therapies to people with breast cancer. Sue Ryder provides expert and compassionate support for people living through life-changing illness. The charity has local hospices in Headingley, Leeds and Keighley, Bradford.

The individual entrance fee will be just £15 (£10 for concessions), which covers entrance administration and an event t-shirt. Those participating will also receive a goody bag with lots of fantastic treats and the opportunity to win some amazing prizes as well as the chance to rub shoulders with some very special celebrity guests.
