A new folk custom in Barlaston, takes place on New Year's Eve at 9.30pm to midnight.

A procession and verse-saying to honour local famous Anglo-Saxons over the Downs Banks, in association with the National Trust.

Culminates in a torchlight procession through the village, and dancing Ould Lyne Syne round the tree on the village green.
