Nicknamed the Jersey Lily. Made first major stage appearance in 1881. Became mistress of Edward VII. Widowed in 1897, married Hugo Gerald de Bathe. Became well known as a racehorse owner. Wrote All at Sea (1909) and The Days I Knew (1925).
