Bebington is located in the heart of the Wirral Peninsula in the North West of England and owes its popularity to the easy access it offers to both Merseyside – Birkenhead and Liverpool – as well as the old Roman City of Chester. The main shopping area in Bebington is to be found on Church Road where there is a selection of local shops, whilst the local church, St Andrews, was mentioned as far back as the Domesday Book. It is understood that where the church stands today was, prior to the erection of any building a place where services were held in the open, indeed it is believed that the sweeping bend on Church Road by the church does in fact follow the boundary of an ancient circular burial ground. Bebington is ideally situated to enjoy the pleasures that the Wirral has to offer, from its seaside walks on the east side with views over North Wales or the views from the west towards the City of Culture 2008 – Liverpool. The Wirral delights and surprises the many visitors that come and Bebington with its range of facilities continues to be a favourite with residents and visitors alike.
