Known in the 12th century as "Haneforde" possibly meaning "a ford frequented by game birds". The town of Handforth is located in the picturesque County of Cheshire within easy travelling distance of Manchester City Centre that is possibly one of the most cosmopolitan cities of the North West. Set in rural countryside Handforth also benefits from a range of good local amenities and the shopping area features a range of local traditional retailers. Located at Handforth Dean is the ubiquitous retail park home to some major retailing names.
