Nestling in the fertile and picturesqueVale of Clwyd in North Wales is the small village of Llandyrnog, it lies about three miles outside of Denbigh with evidence that it has been inhabited since medieval times. Indeed the church was established here by Teyrnog in the 6th. The present church is built on earlier foundations, mainly in the 15th century and is known as a “Vale of Clwyd” type church as it has a double nave, an architectral feature peculiar to this region. It is a village and therefore it may seem to lack the local amenities of those larger villages however it does have a village shop, a couple of pubs and access to the larger market towns of Denbigh and Ruthin are close by. One surprising fact about Llandyrnog its dairy produces around 15% of the UK’s cheddar cheese.
