Sleat is an attractive village in the southern part of the Isle Of Skye in Scotland. Set on the beautiful Sleat Peninsular which is easy on the eye with an abundance of woodland and stunning countryside, referred to as ’The Garden Of Skye’. Artists and photographers are hushed as they try to capture to magical sunsets. Wildlife watchers are kept busy with scenes of Otters, and Seals, Rod Danglers are not forgotten whether it’s sea or any of the Lochs nearby such as Loch Cravadale, or Loch a’ Ghlinne where the thought of hooking a trout or salmon is tempting. Turn back the hands of time to days long gone, with a visit to the evocative ruins of Armadale Castle with it’s impressive battlements and towers set in sumptuous gardens where colourful flowers jostle for attention. A visit to the Clan Donald Centre will share their intriguing history, or step outside for woodland walks, and Nature Trails. If that’s not enough History why not take a look at the ruins of Knock Castle which has a 15th Century Keep. Or cast off on one of the many boat trips that offer a journey of discovery, of the most pleasurable kind.
