Duxford is an historical village situated just a few miles from Cambridge, and is famous for it’s Imperial War Museum where at certain times astonishing Air Shows take place. With over fifty working aircraft that spans history, including the American Air Museum, why not take a seat on a 1930’s Bi Plane for a flight… with impressive examples of B - 17’s, Blackbird, and 100 tanks on display, makes for an intriguing visit, Or if that’s not enough The Royal Anglian Regiment Museum wont fail to disappoint, as there are uniforms and silver and many other treasures waiting to tell their story. Or how about Duxford Chapel built in the 14th Century for travellers under the order of St John, for animal lovers Linton Zoo with it’s lions, Tigers, Owls and Giant Tortoises, and many other critters, all set in 18 acres of gardens, … Or maybe the Iron Age Fort at Wandlebury Country Park, that has a Nature Trail in a stunning woodland setting what more could be asked for… perhaps a ride on a Miniature Railway through the delightful estate at Audley End, or why not go into Cambridge to the Market and take a ride on a Punt… fabulous.
