The village of Longham lies in the beautiful English rural county of Dorset, between Ferndown and Wimborne Minster. It is found at the intersection of the A347 and B3073 roads. Logham is convenient for Bournemouth International Airport, which lies about three miles to the east along the B3073. It is situated very centrally for visiting the any part of the beautiful county of Dorset. Local attractions include Longham Lakes, a former quarry now turned into a lake. Longham Lake is now an important spot for bird watchers and other wildlife lovers. Golf enthusiasts can choose from nearby Dudsbury Golf Club or Ferndown Golf Club for a round or two. Nearby Ferndown offers the chance for shopping in the town's major shopping precinct, Penny's Walk. Also close by is Holt Heath, a two square mile Nature Reserve offering excellent walking and cycling opportunities. The reserve includes dry and wet heathland, mire and ancient woodland. The heath is of particular interests to reptile enthusiasts as it is one of the few places where all six native British species of reptile occur naturally. Pubs in Longham include The Angel Inn and The White Hart, both of which offer food and Real Ale. Both pubs also feature outdoor seating and allow dogs.
