The village of Sutton-on-sea lies on the Lincolnshire coast, between Trusthorpe and Sandilands. It is a little over ten miles up the coast from the famous seaside resort of Skegness. Sutton-on-Sea is itself a popular and yet peaceful seaside resort that possesses an impressive award-winning beach. In addition there is a children's play area and quiet gardens for you to relax in. There is a wide range of accommodation including hotels, guest houses and static caravans to choose from in Sutton-on-sea. Sutton's Pleasure Gardens will appeal to both families and senior citizens, with its fabulous yet tranquil gardens. There are also bowling greens and a super paddling pool which attract multitudes of children each summer. The village holds a carnival each July, which is an important event in the Sutton-on-sea calendar with its marching bands, floats and parades. There is a Golf Links Course in nearby Sandilands giving visitors the chance to play a round or two. There are also fishing lakes within the area if you prefer to relax by the water. You can take an open top bus ride to nearby Trusthorpe, an appealing village with a pretty church. The open-air swimming pool at Trusville is open to visitors.
