Redbourne is a delightful village in northern Lincolnshire that dates as far back into history as Saxon times, and is home to just over three hundred and eighty souls. It's skirted by a patchwork of beautiful countryside and ancient woodland, and yet is only seventeen miles from the cathedral city of Lincoln. The rural setting has always lent itself to agricultural pursuits although the village was also renowned for its small priory in the 11th Century. A gentle stroll through the village will uncover an enchanting collection of attractive warm red brick houses, and elegant buildings spanning the 18th, and 19th Centuries, whilst unusual and interesting shops line the High Street enticing shoppers within. Artists are easily bewitched at every turn with scenes to grace the next masterpiece, whilst ramblers, and lovers of the great outdoors can explore several walks that pass through the village and beyond into the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside. Taking centre stage in this rural life production, is the large village green complete with a 17th Century Coaching Inn, and remnants of the Old Smithy, and, if that wasn't enough there's pleasing wildlife on the Duck Pond, and stream, what more could be silently wished for.
