Southampton Airport is situated four miles from Southampton, it is an award winning Airport for it’s customer service and saw just under two million passengers in 2007. There are excellent travel links with Buses, Trains that journey direct to the Airport into Southampton Parkway. Or for passengers wishing to drive the major roads and motorways are well signposted, from the Junction of the M3 and M27 take Junction 5. On arrival there is a choice of either Long or Short Stay Car Parking or designated parking spaces for Disabled Passengers. There is one Terminal Building where Trolleys are widely available, the Check In Area has the usual Check In Desks, together with speedy Check In Kiosks where passengers check themselves in, and then simply drop their bags off at the Fast Bag Drop Off, or for some there is always the option of Checking In On Line. The Bureau De Change is on the main Concourse and there are ATM’s accepting all major Debit and Credit Cards. The Information Desk can provide details on arrivals and departures together with assistance and help for Disabled passengers. The Airport has WIFI to enable passengers to stay connected, and shops where last minute items can be found, the Tax and Duty Free Shopping is sure to tempt with Spirits, Perfumes and Gifts. Disabled Passengers are well catered for with Reserved Seating in the Lounges and Induction Loops, specially adapted toilets and telephones enabling passengers to request assistance. The restaurants, cafes and Bars offer a varied selection to suit most tastes. Baby Changing facilities are also on hand, and the Baby Care Room has a quiet feeding area, together with bottle warmer. To pass the time a quick visit to The Viewing Gallery will reward passengers with views of aircraft taking off and landing……
